About "Hello the Mushroom"
“Hello the Mushroom” is a multidisciplinary artist from Lisbon, currently based in Oslo, by way of London. She is an experienced teacher.
Her work can be found on the streets and has been exhibited in galleries in cities worldwide e.g. Saatchi Gallery in London and Gamle Munch in Oslo. Most of the work uses found imagery (mostly printed media) as well as found objects and textiles, reflecting concern about waste. The work features mostly a personal exploration of different subjects often in a humorous way.

About the course
If you’re afraid of a blank page, this course is for you. By using a found image as a starting point, you will unlock your creativity and ideas by taking collage to a new level, using other materials besides the classic glue and scissors. During the course you will: build confidence using mixed media, develop your personal creative voice and learn visual storytelling tools.
This course is suitable for beginners and advanced artists alike.
Materials
- Fashion magazines, or any magazines with full page colourful photos
- Old Picture books
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Acrylic Markers (Posca Recommended, available at Panduro)
- Gel pens, glitter gel pens (available at Panduro)
- Solid colour sheets of paper (available at Panduro or Europris)
- Japanese Washi Tape (available at Panduro)
- Sketchbook for planning
- X-acto knife or scalpel (optional)
- Cutting mat (optional)
Some materials will be available to use but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
For extra materials we will charge an extra fee, no more than 100 NOK.
